Who We Are
We are County Durham’s Award Winning, most Instagrammable Super Salon offering all aspects of Hair, Beauty & Aesthetics. We are a One Stop Shop for all your maintenance needs. We are the original home of the Self Employed Boss Babes and we are here to Level Up the game!
Situated in Seaham Harbour, you’ll find our Lounge within a two minute walk from the Coast. The Blow Lounge was built specifically to benefit our local community. Whether its providing our clients with an unforgettable experience inside, supplying the Self Employed Hair and Beauty professionals with a motivational work base to call their own or simply inspiring Boss Babes to take them and their business to the next level.
What We Do
We are a Multi Use Super Salon, under our roof you will find several Self Employed Hair and Beauty Professionals offering a huge range of service/treatments operating from 3 Hair Stations, 3 Beauty Rooms including an Aesthetic Room, Nail Bar and Pedi Area, 2 Beauty Stations, Spray Tan Booth and a newly built Mini Children’s Salon ‘The Pamper Hut‘.
We are ALL about providing FIRST CLASS experiences inside.
If you haven’t already seen, The Blow Lounge has a record amount of features and backdrops! In total we have 27 including a huge range of bespoke high quality furniture such as LED Neon Signs, Crushed and Plushed Velvet Pannelled Walls, Barbie Walls, Bubble Chairs, Jungle Walls, Golden Pedi Stations, Feather Walls and SoOoOo much more!
When We Started
We opened The Blow Lounge back in February 2020. Our Super Salon has been a work in progress ever since.
10 month into our journey, our Lounge was recognised in the National Hair and Beauty Awards, and was awarded finalist positions in the following categories ‘Best New Salon’ ‘Best Salon Decor’ and ‘Spotlight Salon of the Year’ for 2021 out of thousands of entrants across the UK. To say we where thrilled is an understatement.. this was (and still is!) such a huge movement for The Blow Lounge. Given the amount of set backs we have had to face since our official opening, these awards felt like all the persevering was all worth it!
Fast forward another two month, a year to date after our official opening of The Blow Lounge. We came out FIRST PLACE for ‘Best Salon Decor’ through the Hair and Beauty Awards 2021 out of the whole of the UK! The news is still yet to sink in, we cant swallow what we have achieved amongst some of the best in our industry.
Why We Did It
We opened up a One Stop Instagrammable Super Salon because we wanted to provide the ever growing Self Employed Hair and Beauty babes in our local community a place to call their own filled with likeminded people and the most instagrammable materials.
At The Blow Lounge, our Boss Babes are all working their own hours at their own pace, they are supported in so many aspects of both their personal life as well as their business journey. We include a huge range of added benefits to our Boss Babes stay to make not only their experience, but your experience as a client inside The Blow Lounge, one to remember!
Where We Are Going
Our dreams and goals for 2022 are seriously HUGE.
We are working on our online Beauty Boutique to bring you all your favourite Hair and Beauty products in one place.. as well as a couple other tricks up our sleeve which we cant wait to announce and get you all in on. Keep checking our website for further updates as we are working super hard behind the scenes to bring our visions to light. If you haven’t already heard, we put our community and clients at the heart of everything we do and we can almost guarantee, you are going to be seeing a lot more of The Blow Lounge in 2022.
LITTERALLY! Our HQ was pulled apart and built from scratch with the hands of around 10 close friends and family! No fancy interior designers around here babe, we designed and created The Blow Lounge with zero knowledge and experience on interior design or building & joinery.
Now it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows. There was tears, tantrums, broken sleep and broken bones but we think we pulled it out the bag, do you?
